The United States Small Business Administration (SBA) offers support to veterans as they enter the world of business ownership. There are funding programs, training, and federal contracting opportunities for those who qualify with their business.

Office of Veterans Affairs Development (OVBD)

Dedicated exclusively to promoting veteran entrepreneurship, the OVBD facilitates the use of all U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) programs by veterans, disabled veterans, reservists, serving military personnel. active, military personnel in transition and their dependents or survivors.

SBA programs provide access to capital and preparation for small business opportunities. They can also connect seasoned small business owners with federal commercial supply and supply chains.

The Veterans Business Outreach Center program is an initiative of the OVBD that oversees Business Outreach Centers for Veterans (VBOCs) Across the country.   • Disabled Veterans Entrepreneurship Training Program (SDVETP): Provides entrepreneurship training programs to veteran entrepreneurs with disabilities who aspire to become small business owners or currently own a small business. The SBA funds entrepreneurship training programs for disabled veterans through grantees:
  • Federal Veterans Entrepreneurship Training Program (VFPETP): Provides entrepreneurship training to veteran-owned businesses and disabled veteran-owned businesses nationwide interested in pursuing or already engaged in procurement federal.
