The summit would bring together various experts, including the SBA, SBA Resource Partners, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), as well as collaborators from state governments and public and private sector representatives.

SBA Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman is set to kick off the forum with a fireside chat with Microsoft President and Vice President Brad Smith. The dialogue will include efforts by the SBA and Microsoft to enable small businesses and startups nationwide to build cybersecurity infrastructure and combat ever-evolving cyberattacks.

Smith leads a team of more than 1,900 business, legal and corporate affairs professionals located in 54 countries and operating in more than 120 countries. He leads Microsoft’s work on critical issues involving technology and society.

Other speakers scheduled for the summit include CISA Chief of Staff Kiersten Todt; Kimberly Mentzell, director of cybersecurity and aerospace for the Maryland Department of Commerce; Jacob Blacksten, director of digital solutions for the Delaware Small Business Development Center; and Earl Gregorich, Regional Director and Business Consultant of Greenville Area Small Business Development Centers.

The SBA noted that participation in the forum is free, but attendees must register through the Small Business Cyber Summit website.
